OUR VALUED COMMITTEES
The Greater Lowell Workforce Development Board depends on the input and guidance of its committees to help ensure successful performance and outcomes. Board members can volunteer to participate on committees. All GLWDB meetings, including Quarterly Board meetings and Committee meetings are open to the public in accordance with Massachusetts Open Meeting Law.
EXECUTIVE BOARD
The Greater Lowell WDB Executive Board is comprised of members of the Full Board. The Executive Board was created to act on behalf of the Full Board in addressing issues, which require action, that arise between quarterly Board meeting.

WORKFORCE PERFORMANCE & OPPORTUNITIES COMMITTEE
The Workforce Performance and Opportunities Committee consists of several Board members, Career Center of Lowell managers and other interested partners, including educational providers and community-based organizations. The Committee meets bi-monthly to discuss and review job-seeker and employer challenges, Career Center of Lowell operational reports, Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) job seeker and employment monthly data releases, the Workforce Training Fund (WTF) and collaborate on labor market solutions and sector initiatives as well as youth education, training and employment activities. Designed to promote dialogue and knowledge sharing among members, the Committee’s goal is to be proactive in the identification and communication of issues, assessment of potential impact to our customers and possible short and/or long-term solutions.

STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE
The GLWDB continues to be actively engaged in planning and implementing processes to address the challenges associated with the development of a skilled local workforce and to meet statewide standards intended to accelerate continual improvement of the Massachusetts workforce development system. The GLWDB Strategic Plan is available for your reference. Status updates, including benchmarks and performance assessments are made available on a regular basis.
